This project will develop web-based “virtual tours” of Vicos, Peru with instructional modules that will cover the following topics: Eco-Tourism, Water Management, Biodiversity and the history of Cornell’s involvement in the development of Vicos. This virtual tour would introduce students to the history of Cornell University's efforts in international development in the 1950's and 60's. The instructional modules will include interactive exercises that will be designed to enable students to explore and apply course concepts in topics such as: testing for water and soil pollution, reforestation, sustainable agriculture, community-based eco-tourism, “Ethics of Intervention” and “Decision-making in Participatory Research.”
