“eTextbook Pilot”

As part of a cross-university collaboration being facilitated by Internet2, Cornell is participating in an eText pilot project, using McGraw-Hill eTextbooks and Courseload¹s e-reader software. The pilot will provide participants with a simple way to pilot eTexts as part of a comprehensive approach to understand and influence the eText futures. The pilot will use and assess Courseload¹s eTextbook software that can be used to read and annotate eTextbooks. In addition to the publisher¹s texbooks, Courseload can also provide eTexts that are faculty-authored, or open courseware without royalty dues, such as class notes or other study guides. Cornell faculty will be participating in the eTexts pilots during spring 2012 semester. Please contact Academic Technologies to find out more.
