“Teaching the History of Television”

Nicholas Salvato

About

In the teaching this new course, Nick Salvato wanted a way to create a rich database of television episodes that addressed themes such as family, gender, and human relationships. He identified over 150 episodes and tagged each with themes and keywords. Students will be able to watch their assigned episodes, or search the database for episodes with related themes. Additional interactive features have been proposed. This project is in process. The first classroom use will be in Fall 2010.
